intensvive grou[Intensive outpatient is a structured, short-term treatment modality providing a combination of individual, group and family therapy. Intensive outpatient programs meet at least three times per week, consisting of a minimum of three (3) hours of treatment per session. These outpatient programs must be supervised by a licensed mental health professional. Intensive outpatient treatment is an alternative to inpatient or partial hospital care and offers intensive, coordinated, multidisciplinary services for Covered Individuals with an active psychiatric or substance related illness’ who are able to function in the community at a minimally appropriate level and present no imminent potential for harm to themselves or others

Program Objectives

Intensive Outpatient serves males and females ages 18 to 70+ years who have a mental health and/or substance abuse diagnosis. Clients admitted to the program suffer from a moderate mental/emotional disturbance and/or substance abuse that impair their ability for everyday social, vocational and educational functioning. Clients have some level of independent functioning outside the treatment setting but are in need of guidance to apply the necessary skills to maintain or improve daily functioning.

Services

Clients are expected to participate in individual, group and family therapy as part of their treatment. Other services include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • • Psychoeducational groups
  • • Psychiatric medication consultation and/or medication management
  • • Case management.
  • Referrals and Adminissions

    Referrals to our programs can be made by any physician, health professional, social service agency, family member or by the individual requesting care. Referrals can be made Monday through Friday by calling the program. Prior to admission, our staff will conduct a screening, at no charge to the client, and develop a personalized plan of care. The participant's care is guided by a psychiatrist. If you are not currently under the care of a psychiatrist, with your involvement, our staff will assist in enlisting a physician's services.
